Children and Armed conflict- Stella9/15/2023 ![]() The participants explored cooperation and coordination possibilities between the EU Delegations and missions and operations. The UN Office of the Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict was invited to give a presentation and advisers contributed with examples from the ground to the implementation of the Children and Armed Conflict (CAAC) agenda. Presentations were given on the Strategic Compass for Security and Defence, the Civilian CSDP Compact, and the new Operational Guidelines on Civil Society Engagement, the latter followed by discussions on its implementation.Ī very interactive and appreciated session on Practical skills building and handling resistance was facilitated by a leadership expert and it gave the participants tools to handle resistance in their working environment. During the three-day long event, the Human Rights and Gender Advisers participated in sessions and had the opportunity to interact and exchange views on various topics: The meeting was jointly organised by MPCC, EUMS, CPCC and ISP.
